[00:00:00] Kim Daly: Welcome back to Create wealth through Franchising podcast and Kim Daly tv. In this week's episode, I'm going to take you into an impromptu coaching call with one of my longtime friends and students inside the Zee Suite. Her name is Sharon and she has spent over 30 years in Brand development and franchisor development before joining the Zee Suite, building a new, beautiful vision for her life where she could be self employed. Finding the confidence and the boldness to leave a life that she loved and a life that she knew for over
[00:00:43] Sharon Cupach: 30 years to pursue the freedom of entrepreneurship.
[00:00:48] Kim Daly: Now, in today's episode, Sharon and I had connected to record some of her wins because this woman's life is unrecognizable.
I'm not giving Kim Daly the credit. I'm giving the work that we study, the work that we talk about, the work that we do as members of the Zee Suite.
That's where the credit goes. The credit goes to the work and to this woman, Sharon. She's taken the rich ideas that I've shared with her over the last year, year and a half, and she's put them to work in her life.
And every single part of her life has elevated and changed for the better. She's now living some of the wildest, craziest dreams that when she first met me, she didn't even know she had.
Not only were they not dreams she knew she had, but when she dared to actually allow herself to want them, then it was like, oh, that can't be for me.
But she continued to work with herself and now those impossible dreams are living realities for this woman.
So we had come into the studio to record some of those wins, which you'll see if you haven't seen already on my social media.
[00:02:03] Sharon Cupach: But what happened in the middle of
[00:02:04] Kim Daly: that was something more important.
Sharon came forward with a question and I said, ooh, let me turn on the recording. And this is what I do almost all the time in the Zee Suite. Lots of times my students are like, kim, can I have you one to one? Because all that we do is really group coaching. And I'm very hesitant to get into a one on one conversation because I know that even though the person who thinks their issue belongs to them, the issues that we face are not our own issues. They are human issues.
And so by having this conversation one on one with one person, it doesn't do any justice for all the other students in the Zee Suite who I guarantee also need to hear whatever advice I'm offering to that one member over that one issue. And so normally when people come to me and say, I'm having an issue, can I book time with you one to one? I say, no, Come to office hours and raise your hand with the struggle, and let's talk it out in real time with everybody else in the Z suite. So everybody, everybody can benefit and it can spark an entire conversation. However, today, Sharon was doing me a favor capturing her win so that I could share her on social media. And this conversation naturally and organically came about, and I said, this is going
[00:03:27] Sharon Cupach: to be a good one.
[00:03:27] Kim Daly: I'm turning on the camera in case it's gold, and then we can share it. And I've decided to share it with you, those of you outside of the Z suite as a podcast for this week. So here's my coaching conversation with Sharon.
[00:03:45] Speaker C: So I've been.
My mind is like, I.
I feel the aura of the Kim Daly effect. Like, I like all the time. I'm re. Trying to reset. I am resetting. Like any negative vibe that comes in. I'm, like, sitting and then moving, and I'm doing really good with all of that.
But I find it.
I find it challenging to zone on more than one thing. And I need to. Like, I'm zoning on my health.
I'm.
I'm. Which takes me away from zoning on my business the way that I feel like I need to zone on my business or zoning personally.
Like, that gets put to the side. Like, I need. I need an overall zone. Kim,
[00:04:39] Kim Daly: is that a story? Is that just a story?
[00:04:42] Sharon Cupach: Because when, by law of attraction, when one area of your life elevates, all the other areas are going to naturally, right? You found your journey to health by focusing on other things first. Correct?
[00:04:57] Speaker C: Right.
[00:04:57] Sharon Cupach: And all of a sudden you wanted to feel better. You wanted to move your body differently. So it was a natural progression to then get to the gym and then
[00:05:05] Kim Daly: get to higher levels in the gym
[00:05:07] Sharon Cupach: with the new trainer, correct?
[00:05:08] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:05:09] Kim Daly: Okay.
[00:05:10] Sharon Cupach: So I think it's just a story.
I think you're feeling, your intellectual mind is trying to tell you. And you, again, this is judgment free. You can feel what I'm saying and be like, nope, that's not it.
But it would seem to me that our intellectual mind tries to take over the moment and control.
[00:05:29] Speaker C: Right.
[00:05:30] Sharon Cupach: And that everything has to be in its place.
That's just a story of the intellectual mind. Because that's how it works. And that's how it works mainly to keep us stuck, because that story keeps you stuck versus I can ebb and flow with all of this. When One area of my life elevates. It all. Elevates. So today I'm dialed into inspired ideas to grow my business.
[00:05:57] Kim Daly: But I know that when I grow
[00:05:58] Sharon Cupach: my business, I'm growing myself, and that's going to help me grow myself in the gym.
Like, you could just as easily tell that story.
[00:06:10] Speaker C: I want it all.
[00:06:12] Kim Daly: Exactly. But you can have it all.
[00:06:16] Sharon Cupach: The only thing that keeps you from having it all is your belief.
[00:06:19] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:06:20] Sharon Cupach: That you have to compartmentalize each one.
[00:06:23] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:06:23] Sharon Cupach: And that by elevating one area of your life, it's somehow diminishing the other area of your life, which is just a story because it's absolutely not true.
[00:06:33] Speaker C: Do you think one way for me to open my mind and the universe to allowing the unnatural ebb and flow is like meditation and sitting still with it? Or like, how do I.
How do I just allow.
Just allow that to happen? Great question.
[00:06:57] Sharon Cupach: What do you think the answer is?
[00:07:00] Speaker C: That's what I think the answer is, is to sit with it. Because I'm.
I'm not so hard.
[00:07:08] Sharon Cupach: The ego is so powerful, Sharon. The egoic intellectual mind does not want
[00:07:14] Kim Daly: us to be still and think because
[00:07:18] Sharon Cupach: that challenges the ego's very nature.
If it has no nature to control you, what does it exist for?
So it's amazing in nature itself, it resists itself because we're here for evolution and growth, and we're in a physical body to experience that growth.
[00:07:43] Kim Daly: But the physical body itself is the
[00:07:45] Sharon Cupach: limiting factor to the growth.
[00:07:50] Speaker C: Right.
[00:07:50] Sharon Cupach: When I. When I talk about, like, the child birthing experience, right. It's the hardest push, is the final one.
And I was making a short or something about it, and I said, even nature resists its very strongest act of creation.
I said that without intellectually thinking. It came out of my mouth. And then I was like, oh, my God.
[00:08:17] Kim Daly: Right?
[00:08:17] Sharon Cupach: Because there's no better, bigger action of creation than the birth of a human.
Why is it so painful?
Because nature resists its very nature.
So you've got to. We all, not you. We all have to learn proper use of the imagination, the story, and the will.
The will is the. The discipline to play the story that serves not to let the intellectual mind story serve us. The intellectual mind is our servant. We are the master.
99.9% of the world. It's the other way around.
[00:09:09] Speaker C: So I know exactly what to do. Then I just need to redo my morning, like, here's who I am, and just start from square one, repetitive, every day.
And then it'll just come. Because that's what I did before.
So if I really reevaluate, take a minute and reevaluate, these are the areas in my life. This is what I want for my life. And make it 10 times what I want then. And just say, I already have it.
Then it'll just. And I'll just keep saying it and then I'll believe it and then it'll happen.
Because that's right. So.
[00:09:56] Sharon Cupach: Because we create from our consciousness, our awareness, not from our effort.
[00:10:01] Speaker C: Right.
So that's. It's just going back to square one of when we first met, when we first. When I first started the Z suite.
It's exactly. I just need to go right back and repeat what I did the first time with, with different goals.
[00:10:21] Sharon Cupach: So this is what I want to throw in. One little thing to that.
[00:10:23] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:10:24] Sharon Cupach: When you sit with yourself, I want you to think about, have I hit an upper limit? Okay. So again, we are. We have set points.
So freedom isn't free.
[00:10:39] Speaker C: Right.
[00:10:40] Sharon Cupach: Freedom comes at a price.
And perhaps the freedom you've experienced is so foreign that this is just your paradigm, that set point pulling you back, bringing you opportunities to go back to the unfree. We'll call it that the free and the unfree. Like when you were employed by other people. That's one idea only you can know if you're bumping into a set point that could be just trying to pull you back to the comfortable, known world.
And you're like, nope, I'm not going back.
Or you're asking for growth and the world is bringing you growth and giving you the opportunity to define the growth on your terms as new. Sharon, not thinking about, well, in the world. That's how they're going to pay me. Because that's a story and that was the past, but it doesn't have to be right now. What I said to you before, so you could literally say, I'm going to entertain these opportunities that I've attracted to myself because I'm calling in growth, but on my terms. And that makes you stand up as a new, bolder version of Sharon who has nothing to lose because you already have the life you're calling in that has unlimited growth.
But while I'm here and I've attracted these opportunities to me, is there something even better? Is it this or better?
I think that's the self reflection. I would journal it and then I would sit with. Sit with it. And I would not act until you have 100% clarity. An inspired idea.
[00:12:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:36] Sharon Cupach: And you'll know and it will happen
[00:12:38] Kim Daly: fast because the Universe doesn't take time.
[00:12:40] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:40] Sharon Cupach: The only time that the time delay is for our intellectual mind to get out of the way.
And that goes back to how you. What do I do? Stillness.
[00:12:51] Speaker C: I love this so much. And I think this is. Thank you. I think this is relative to business owners too. How business owners have all of these zones that they need to.
Balls in the air. Right. That they need to manage. And like, if they focus on one, then three balls drop. If they focus on this one, then two drop over. And it doesn't have to be that way.
This is a great topic. Actually.
[00:13:24] Sharon Cupach: It's the whole work life balance, too. Like, other members and I have had this conversation about can I really have it all? And I said, but it all is a mindset.
[00:13:34] Speaker C: Right.
[00:13:34] Sharon Cupach: And it could be that I'm at peace that today my business requires more from me, but I have the freedom to make the choice to balance that out tomorrow.
[00:13:45] Speaker C: Right.
[00:13:45] Sharon Cupach: By giving a little more to my family.
[00:13:47] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:13:48] Sharon Cupach: It's the freedom to choose that gives you the balance.
Does balance actually exist? Yeah, because it's in your mind. The only imbalance is the story we tell about. Well, I put so much into my work today, I neglected my kids. Let go of the story.
[00:14:07] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[00:14:10] Sharon Cupach: The enemy is the only enemy in our life, really. Is this strategic, logical, intellectual, egoic, human mind.
[00:14:20] Speaker C: I agree.
[00:14:20] Sharon Cupach: Silencing the enemy is the key.
[00:14:24] Speaker C: I agree. It's really.
It's easier to listen to that than it is to forward think and get rid of the negative and pursue the positive until you get comfortable with that mindset of the positive mindset, you know, the strategic or not even true, but that positive, like getting rid of negative. But then when it creeps in, that's the telling time. Right. Because do you sit in it and just perpetuate that or do you feel it, move on, like you got it, acknowledge it, move on. Just how I deal with grief. I sit in it, I acknowledge it, I move, I just keep going. It's so. It's the same thing, right? It's right.
[00:15:21] Sharon Cupach: It's only easier, Sharon, because it's practiced.
[00:15:25] Kim Daly: So everything that we repeat, that's just
[00:15:27] Sharon Cupach: how we were taught to live.
Right. When we're kind of in the matrix, if you will. Like, that's just the way that, you know, life, world, experiences taught us before we opened ourselves to a new awareness.
And so the new awareness is new. So it's uncomfortable.
[00:15:49] Speaker C: Right.
[00:15:49] Sharon Cupach: But with practiced repetition, it becomes the new comfort. And then it's easier and it's more uncomfortable. Like I'VE practiced my positive high vibe, like, life is so abundant shtick for so many years that I made a million dollars unconsciously.
[00:16:12] Kim Daly: That's really amazing.
[00:16:14] Sharon Cupach: But it's the opposite for me. So when I'm around someone and I allow myself to come to their negative place, Ooh, I don't like myself. Yeah, I'm so uncomfortable being that version of me, that old version of me that I like. I, like, immediately have to, like, go get, you know, bite me, get in myself, get back to myself and, like, reset myself. And then I.
[00:16:43] Kim Daly: And.
[00:16:43] Sharon Cupach: But I. And try not to beat myself up, but to really become aware of why did that person trigger me and move me from my new place?
And sometimes it's just an old habit, like we have. We have habits of being with certain people in our life, you know, which is why, like, repairing marriages is so harder things, because you have such a patterned program of how you interact.
[00:17:09] Speaker C: Right.
[00:17:09] Sharon Cupach: And one person typically has to do
[00:17:11] Kim Daly: the work to change that and hold
[00:17:14] Sharon Cupach: that while the other person is still seeing you as the old version of you. Yeah, yeah.
[00:17:18] Kim Daly: So, like, it's really hard.
[00:17:19] Sharon Cupach: But anyway, that's.
[00:17:20] Kim Daly: It's all. All just patterned programming.
[00:17:23] Sharon Cupach: That's the only reason it's easier.
And with practiced repetition to the new idea, that will become easier.
[00:17:34] Speaker C: Got it. Thank you.
[00:17:37] Sharon Cupach: Thank you.
[00:17:37] Kim Daly: What a great conversation.
[00:17:39] Speaker C: Yeah, this is good. I know exactly what to do now. Yeah, this is good.
[00:17:45] Kim Daly: I hope you enjoyed everything you just heard. Whether it made sense or it didn't make sense, the work that we do in the Z Suite is human work. It's work that changes our mindset. Now, I know because I've been talking to a lot of people about mindset, that everybody out there believes they have a positive mindset. I'm not talking about having a positive mindset. I'm talking about something much, much deeper. I'm actually helping people understand where their results in life come from. We've been taught that our results in our life come from our intellectual, logical mind. This thing that we've trained, that we've gone to school to educ.
That the world teaches us we need to judge, to perceive, to use data, to use logic.
But once you study where success comes from, it really makes you question how
[00:18:38] Sharon Cupach: much of that intellectual, logical mind may
[00:18:42] Kim Daly: actually be hurting you versus helping you on the way to building wealth and the life of your dreams. If this episode has intrigued you and you're curious about these rich ideas that we spend time talking about in the Z Suite, I would love for you to follow the link in the description below. Yes, I am here to help you live your wildest dreams through franchising. That means finding the right franchise for you. Your background, your interests, your skills, your
[00:19:11] Sharon Cupach: finances, and your goals.
[00:19:13] Kim Daly: I can be your franchise consultant. But if you're out there on the sideline and you're afraid to get in the franchising game because you fear failure. Ooh. What I love, love, love to share some of these rich ideas that we talk about in the Z Suite with you before you even invest in your franchise. And if you're out there and you already own a franchise, that's why you're following me. You're looking for the next secret, the little thing that might help you get to the next level. Well, I would absolutely love to teach you more about how these rich ideas can change every single thing in your business quickly, dramatically, and sustainably. I have data. I have emotional shifts. I have everything to show you and to prove to you why two franchisees in the same system create two very different results. But I can even one up that question. I can show you why the same franchisee in the same system with the same economy, the same marketing, the same franchisor, the same everything can go from almost failing out, struggling, to becoming the number one franchisee in the system.
It was my story from 2002 to 2010, when I was an average performer. And then in 2011, I had my breakout year, and I rode that for the next 13 years. And now I've packaged what took me from eight years average performing, Same me, same franchise, same opportunity, many different economies over the last 13 years.
I've built and grown and sustained a legendary life. I've packaged all of that because these are not Kim Daly rich ideas. These are classical truths I'm working with. The quantum physics that is as precise as how we land a rocket on the moon to the timing of a precision of a second, to the spiritual ideas that were shared by Jesus and other great teachers in many great books like the Bible.
So if you're intrigued in any way and you want to study how success actually comes because you want to get in the wealth game, or you want to stay in the franchising business and not go bankrupt and literally go from struggling to living your wildest crazy dreams like so many of my students in the Z Suite, this is your call to action. Follow the link in the description below because Kim Daly can't wait to be your franchise consultant. If that's you and your daily mindset coach.
