[00:00:06] Welcome back to Create wealth through Franchising podcast and Kim Daly tv.
[00:00:12] Today we're gonna do a little bit of story time.
[00:00:16] I want to bring you into this world that I've created called the Z Suite, where every single day I am experiencing miracles through, through other franchisees whose businesses and lives are being quickly, dramatically and sustainably changed through the work that we do in the Z Suite. And I want to invite you into how we do what we do by going to one of the best books called the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. This book is a tool. It's not just a book that you read and you throw away. It's. It's a tool that if you use it, will change your life.
[00:00:59] This book, more than any other book in my life, changed my life. And it's the first book that I give to all of my students. And I've had students whose businesses have dramatically and quickly changed simply by reading this book.
[00:01:14] The thoughts and ideas expressed by Earl Nightingale in the early 1900s, they're timeless truths.
[00:01:21] And that's the work that we study inside the Z Suite.
[00:01:25] So I'm going to read you a couple of things from the Strangest Secret, but I want to first tell you how this book changed my life. So when I read this book initially I think I audibled it because I audible all the books. I knew right away that this was a book that I needed to put on repeat.
[00:01:42] So I set a timer on my phone and on the first day of the month for one year, which then turned into two years, I dedicated that day's cardio session to Earl Nightingale and the Strangest Secret. It's actually a free audible on YouTube. You don't even have to buy the book. But I highly recommend buying the book as well because then you can just open it. Like, I'm going to open it and I'm going to read you from some of the parts and you'll see, like I have parts highlighted, the parts that I just want to meditate on the sentences.
[00:02:18] And so I dedicated the cardio session every. The first day of every month for a year. And then it was so profoundly impactful that I did it again for two years. And that was several years ago.
[00:02:31] The reason I reminded myself every 30 days is inside the book. Earl Nightingale has a 30 day test or a 30 day assignment.
[00:02:42] And the assignment is that it goes with the ideas he's putting forth in the book. I'm not going to give it away, but I am going to talk a little bit about that in this Episode. And so what I knew human nature is, we start out strong, kind of like our New Year's resolutions, right? But very quickly we get off track, right? And so we forget life gets busy or we're doing so good that we don't need the tool anymore. And so then life gets bad and you're like, everything used to be so good. Why is everything so hard? And you forget how you got your life to be so good. So by setting the reminder on my phone every 30 days, it was a 30 day assignment. It brought me right back. So if I did fall off track, I would go back to the beginning and back to the beginning. Now, repetition is the mother of skill. So hearing something once might inspire you for the moment, but hearing the same truth over and over and over is how you build a new belief. It's how you change your mind. Literally, your mind is nothing but a program.
[00:03:51] And the thoughts that you think and the beliefs that you have are nothing but thoughts that you've repeated so many times that you believe them.
[00:04:02] And now we call them a belief in. Most of the things that we believe as humans were programmed into us by other people. Our parents, teachers, education, the world, the media.
[00:04:16] They're not even things that we've challenged or that we've thought about on our own, but they're so ingrained in us, they're beliefs that we hold that we just believe.
[00:04:29] So when we come to the Work in the Z Suite where we study success, we study ourselves, because we are the determining factor of the success and wealth that we build in our franchise.
[00:04:43] This is what we do. We use tools like this. And so I thought I wanted to dedicate at least one episode of my podcast because I know I have a lot of faithful followers, people who I placed into franchising, who bless me and follow this podcast. And I know there's a lot of people out there who are on the sideline of life who haven't yet invested in a franchise. And an episode like this might help you feel more in control so that you dare to get off the sideline and get into the game. A lot of people stay stuck on the sideline because they worry about failure.
[00:05:19] But if you studied success, it might help you actually get off the sideline because now you feel more in control of how to deliberately and intentionally be successful in your franchise business.
[00:05:31] And then I think a lot of people own franchises and they're stuck and they're blaming the marketing or the franchisor or the territory or the economy. And listen, I'm not Judging. When I say they're blaming. I did it too.
[00:05:45] I was a franchisee, remember? I still am. And in the first eight years of my existence in my franchise, I was an average performer.
[00:05:54] And then the last 13 years, I built this legendary history making, breaking my own history making, year over year, miraculous life. Like, how does one person create two very different realities with the same toolbox, the same business in multiple different economies?
[00:06:14] Because the success of our business is not based on strategy alone. Strategy is important. I'm going to give it 20%.
[00:06:23] But how we think, how we talk, and how we act with that strategy is what determines how much wealth we build. And my life is living proof. So. And this is what I've been sharing inside the Z Suite. It's why I started the Z Suite. And I've had about a hundred or so students so far pass through the doors and all of their lives have been ethically changed quickly and dramatically and sustainably changed by studying wealth, by studying themselves.

[00:08:37] This will become an epic movement in all of franchising, mark my words. Because nobody, until the Z Suite, nobody, has been dialed in on the operator of that vehicle. So the franchise gives you a vehicle, but the operator driving the vehicle is the one responsible for the performance of the vehicle.
[00:08:58] The entire industry is built to study strategy and add more strategy and have a better territory. And those things are good, and they can make your life a little easier, a little harder. I get all of that, but they never equate to success.
[00:09:13] How the individual operator driving that vehicle shows up, thinks, talks, acts. That's what creates success.
[00:09:21] I've proven it in my business. Same me, two very different realities. I'm proving it in the. In the Z Suite every single day now as I watch all of these franchisees who came to me believing they needed better marketing, they needed a better franchisor, they needed a better territory. Territory. All the things who very quickly no longer believe those things because their results have epically been changed by studying success and studying themselves.
[00:09:46] Okay, so let me give you an example of how we study success. So let's go to page 30 of Earl Nightingale's book, the Strangest Secret.
[00:09:54] Let me tell you something which, if you really understand it, will alter your life immediately. Okay?
[00:10:01] If you're like Kim Daly and you read a sentence like that in a book, you're leaning in. Look, life is for expansion. We are here as spirits and physical bodies for the expansion of life. So I don't know about you, but anything that tips me off that this is going to change my life, it inspires me, it excites me, because I want to be a better person. I want to grow, I want to contribute more. And if you're listening to this podcast, chances are you do, too. You're at least trying to grow your own wealth. Okay? So if you understand completely what I'm going to tell you, from this moment on, your life will never be the same again. You will suddenly find that good luck just seems to be attracted to you. I love the word attracted.
[00:10:45] How many business owners out there are trying to force outcomes? You're pushing, you're efforting, you're grinding. And when it's not working. You're doubling down on that.
[00:10:56] So he's saying, you, good luck, will be attracted to you. I love the word attracted. The things you want just seem to fall in line. And from now on, you won't have the problems, the worries, the gnawing lump of anxiety that perhaps you've experienced before. How many business owners have gnawing lumps of anxiety? Come on, we're all human. We all. We've all been there. And maybe you haven't invested in a franchise yet because you're worried about those gnawing lumps of anxiety, fear, and doubt. Well, they will be things of the past.
[00:11:30] How amazing would it be to actually own a business and feel so totally in control of what you're building that you have no fear and no doubt? Yeah. That's what you want. I've created almost a thousand franchise owners. I've been a franchise owner. And I'm telling you, that's what every single one of us wants. We want to build something that's predictable and sustainable and totally in our control.
[00:11:59] Well, Earl Nightingale's about to tell us how to do that.
[00:12:03] Okay? So here's what he says. Here's the key to success and. And the key to failure. You ready? Give me a drum roll. We become what we think about.
[00:12:15] Let me say it again. We become what? What we think about. Your dominant thoughts determine the outcomes of your life. Now, I'm not going to get into all the science of why our thoughts are things today, but if you're curious, message me. Find me, because I want to have that conversation with you. This is what we study in the Z Suite. When I say we study success, this is what I mean.
[00:12:45] Because when you understand how results are actually created, you will no longer look to a better marketing plan. You will no longer look for a better economy. You will no longer think your territory is limiting you.
[00:13:01] You will go within, and you will assess, and you will start to think new thoughts, feel new feelings. And those thoughts and feelings allow you to take different actions and actions that are led with boldness, actions that are backed by confidence.
[00:13:19] When you go into a sales call, you can have the perfect script. You can do exactly what your franchisor told you to do, and you can fail.
[00:13:30] Why?
[00:13:31] Because most of that sale is not happening verbally. It's happening non verbally.
[00:13:39] As humans, we are all amazing readers of Energy.
[00:13:44] And it's not what you're saying that they are hearing and feeling.
[00:13:49] It's what you're not saying with your body language, with the energy that you're giving off. And when you walk into a sales call worried about the bank account that you were focused on before you pulled up and rang their doorbell, it doesn't matter how great the script is coming out of your mouth because they feel your fear.
[00:14:09] And that's why. That's why two different franchisees can invest in the same franchise with the same training, the same systems, the same marketing, the same everything, and produce two totally different results. It's why Kim Daly, one person, produced eight years at one level, a very low level, and 13 years at a very high level.
[00:14:31] My business never changed. I changed my boldness, my confidence, because I started to study success.
[00:14:40] And that meant I started studying Kim. And it allowed me to deliberately become Million Dollar Kim and show up every day as Million Dollar Kim.
[00:14:54] And when I showed up as Million Dollar Kim, I started attracting there's his word. People, events, opportunities open doors. To me, it's like a flywheel. You just start to feed a little bit in. It's the faith of a mustard seed if you're a Bible reader. And from that, the powerful law of attraction doesn't need epic faith. It needs the faith as small as a mustard seed. It needs me to show up just a little bit bold, just a little bit confident, and the doors start flying open and the events start coming and the right people start showing up and everything starts being added. To me, that's how it works. It's a snowball effect. But we have to create that through our powerful thoughts, our words and our actions.
[00:15:45] This is why we study tools, not a book tools. This is why we'll read that paragraph over and over and over and over. If you pick up the book, I would challenge you. Put it beside your bed. And when the alarm goes off, don't reach for your phone, reach for your book. Open it to page 30 and read that paragraph.
[00:16:06] Remind yourself of where your true power lies.
[00:16:13] In the Bible, St. Paul says, we must die to our flesh every day. Put on the mind of Christ, Be renewed by the transforming of your mind. These are all scriptures. You don't have to be a Christian to understand what I'm saying. But if you are, I'm equating what you know in the Bible to how to use what you know. That faith that you say that you have in action in your business, this will change every single thing so quickly and so dramatically.
[00:16:43] The thoughts that we think every day become the things that we hold in our hands in our lives.
[00:16:50] So if you're thinking poor and scarce and lack and fearful, Thoughts. Do not be surprised when you have a business that reflects poor and scarce and fearful thoughts.
[00:17:04] That is how life works.
[00:17:07] Okay, let's go to another page on page 36. This is the page that I read over and over and over again. So this is where Earl Nightingale is going to explain to us how while our mind is much more mysterious than land, our mind works much like the fertile soil. And we are farmers. So let's go down to the bottom of page 36. Now, let's say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand. One is a seed of corn and the other is nightshade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds, seeds, one corn and the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters, and takes care of the land. And what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what's planted. As it's written in the Bible, as ye sow, so shall ye reap. Now remember, the land doesn't care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will the corn. So up come the two plants, one corn and one poison.
[00:18:07] The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land. But it works exactly the same way. The mind doesn't care what we plant, success, failure, a concrete, worthwhile goal, or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety, and so on.
[00:18:27] But what we plant, it must return.
[00:18:32] What we plant, it must return.
[00:18:36] So Earl Nightingale goes on in the book to talk about goals. The difference between success and failure are people who have clearly defined goals.
[00:18:46] And the back of the book, he encourages that we create a goal card. Now, in the Z Suite, I have this PDF of the goal card and I want. I have all of my students create very clear, impossible goals.
[00:19:01] Impossible is only impossible because you have to understand how the intellectual, logical, egoic mind works. The logical human mind works by looking to the past to predict the future. The logical human mind is limited by past performance. So the logical mind is the one that tells you that's not possible for you. Why? Because it can only look to your past. And if you've never done it before, it says it can't be done.
[00:19:31] If you want to build the impossible goal into your life, all you have to do is stop using this limited human intellectual mind to get to your future. So how do you do that?
[00:19:45] That's what we study in the Z Suite. It's actually very easy. It's easier than you may think.
[00:19:50] Now, this egoic human intellectual mind, which is built for survival, is not going to let you go easily.
[00:19:57] This thing is a highly patterned program that wants everything to stay the same, even if what you're asking for in growth is, is good. The intellectual egoic mind doesn't care because unfamiliar equals unsafe. And it's built for survival.
[00:20:17] So it's understanding how this mind works and why it was built that way for survival, which is a very good thing.
[00:20:25] But if you want to grow, you can't stay the same and call in growth.
[00:20:31] One has to win.
[00:20:33] And for most people, because they don't understand this, what happens is that survival of the fittest instinct which your body will cling to, which will pull you back to your comfort zone. That's the one that wins. As a franchise consultant, I've seen this, you know, every, almost every single day of my life for 24 years. I'm not judging. People stand at that fork in the road. They do all the intellectual logical work to get to the point where they're ready to say yes.
[00:21:01] And then that intellectual mind that is designed to keep them safe, keeps them safe by saying, this isn't the right time, or hey, you know, maybe I can't afford it, or whatever. They come up with whatever the excuse is. And I'm not judging. All it is, though, is your patterned programming mind that's built for survival, pulling you back using logic, what seems logical, what seems rational, to keep you in that comfort zone. So wouldn't it be helpful to understand how the mind works so that we can override that programming and call in the wealth? If you're trying to build wealth, meaning making more money than you've ever made, you can't stay the same. You, you've got to evolve, you've got to adapt. You've got to take on a whole new identity. The identity shift is actually what calls in the money into your bank account. Most people are efforting from the level of their 3D reality where they're trying to move physical space and time to, to create wealth because they don't even understand what wealth is. Money is energy.
[00:22:05] It's all factored into this energy equation. And money will not flow into a bank account by an owner who has scarce and poor thoughts. You're violating the laws all over the place. You can't think about lack, talk about lack, look at your bank account and feel lack and think that you're going to build an abundant life. You can't do it. It's physically impossible. It's like asking gravity to pull you up instead of pull you down.
[00:22:30] You can't do it. You can't Defy the law of gravity.
[00:22:34] Well, money works by law, just like gravity works by law. And it's precise. To study money is to study the law. It's to understand how money flows and where money goes by the law of attraction and where money is repelled.
[00:22:56] These are the things we study. And we use great tools, such as this book, the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. And we use things like goal cards. Not because we're going to set New Year's resolution type goals and just haphazardly believe in them, but because we understand, because we study how to overcome our intellectual logical mind that can only use our past to predict our future.
[00:23:22] We use a different level of mind, a level of mind that once we tap into it, gives us the power to attract, to become magnets that literally draw people, opportunities and events to us. That to the outer world looks absolutely like the luckiest break. Or that person is so lucky they always seem to be in the right place at the right time. And even to our own intellectual minds, it feels like that. But because we still study and because we know we're putting ourselves into alignment with the natural laws, we know what seems like a miracle to the rest of the world is actually the way life is supposed to be lived. Wouldn't it be nice to be waking up and experiencing miracles, what the world calls a miracle, every single day in your business? I did it for 13 years. Trust me, it's absolutely amazing. It's the life that you want. I'm watching my students live it every single day. We're starting to collect the wins because the winds are coming in so many. I'm like, we're going to forget all of these.
