[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign.
[00:00:07] Speaker B: Welcome back to Create wealth through Franchising podcast and Kim Daily tv.
So what do you do when the bank account is screaming and money is tight and you're stressed out of your mind over this franchise investment that you put your life savings into, thinking this was going to be the vehicle that built your financial future?
And right now, in this moment, it feels the exact opposite. What do you do?
Anybody can build a successful franchise business when life is good and business is easy. But the difference between successful business owners and all the rest is what they do when business gets real.
Today's guest, David Lemaire. He is a franchisee of Homewell Care Services from Henderson, Nevada. I met David a few weeks ago and he's a franchisee who's in one of these very real business moments. We spent some time together and while he can't yet afford to join the Z suite, I offered him some free advice and he took the advice and 48 hours later, he sends me a text and it seems that every single thing in his business has started to change.
So before we get to that story, let's go back to the beginning. Let me introduce the guest. So, David, welcome to the studio of Kim Daly tv.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: Hi, Kim, thanks for having me. It's great to be here.
[00:01:41] Speaker B: So happy, so happy to have you here, share your story and really get into what's been happening in your business, especially over the last few weeks. So, David, let's go back to the beginning of basically your life. When you were 12 years old, a very special something happened to you.
Tell the listeners a little bit about your childhood in that event.
[00:02:07] Speaker A: I would love to. Well, at the age of 12, I was diagnosed with a rare malformation. It was called avm, which is short for arterial venous malformation.
And it, it was something that, it was like a blood clot that erupted in my, in my brain and happened during, on the night of Halloween about the age of 12 in the year 2000.
It was in the middle of the night. My whole left side of my body was numb and me being startled by that, I, I, I thought, you know, some, I knew something was wrong. So I, I actually thought I was just maybe slept on the wrong side.
And me being, you know, young and not really knowing what's going on, I pretty much tried to get up and in a way to, to kind of bring the, bring the, the blood back to the, to the joint, to my body by getting up and walking it off, but fell right to the floor. I fell right to the floor. And when I Fell to the floor. My brother, who shares the room with me, he actually hears me fall and he says, dave, are you okay? And I say, no, I'm not. I need my. I call mom. My mom, who's actually been a nurse for maybe over 40 years now, she comes in the room and automatically sees that it's a sign of a stroke, not really knowing what exactly it's going on. This is maybe about 3 o' clock in the morning.
They rush. Once she calls 911, I'm rushed to the hospital and met with a neurosurgeon who is about to perform a craniotomy on me. And during this time he's created, the surgeon tells my mother that we're about to perform this craniotomy on your son, but there's, there's no guarantee that he's going to come out of this alive.
So my, my mother, being a very devout and woman and believer in God, she tells the doctor, God is going to be the one who, who makes that call in the end. So I'm going to be right here waiting to see that my son's okay.
And then she goes to the, she goes to the chapel within the hospital where I'm getting my procedure and she starts praying for me instantly and, and not knowing that while I'm getting performed on my cardiotomy, I experienced a.
Well, I coded during my craniotomy. And I believe that was the, my, my biggest moment of my life, pretty much when I, I saw God.
I literally saw God and it was him talking to me. And I felt that in my heart. And like, it was literally this bright light and I was surrounded by waterfalls and stars. And I, at that point, I, I knew that I was within his kingdom.
And then he says to me, I, I, it kind of seemed a little shorter than it was, but he's, he was saying a lot of things to me like, David, you have a beautiful life ahead of you. Don't stop. Keep going.
And then he shows me like a quick glimpse of my future.
And then what I from, I remember it was a great future.
And then he says, wake up. But then I wake up, I'm in the icu. I have no idea what's going on, but my first words to my mother was standing at my bedside. I say, thank you, Jesus, for letting me live not really knowing what was going on with me.
But fast forward, I'm, I'm transitioning out of, out of icu. I'm transitioning into a rehab center to regain my strength back in my left side to learning how to walk, talk, and eat again. Because all of that stuff I was taking for granted before and you know, during the time while I was getting. Going through rehab and seeing my therapist, it was. That was when life started really hitting me and I started really like, having to accept that I. Now I'm wheelchair bound and I've lost the independence I once had. And this is very hard for me to accept at this point because at the age of 12, I was very into sports. I was probably one of the fastest kids in my school. And I was into. I was a drummer. So I was very active, you know, so me being in that situation, I'm now being with the. Being left with the realization that my life as I know it is, is. Is going to be different.
So that brought a lot of anger and sadness into my life at that point, and depression, understandably so. Yes. And the therapists who were treating me at the time, they saw that I was. I was very angry inside at some point. So they decided to take me up to a geriatric home floor where they knew that me being around elderly people would probably be a little better than me being surrounded by a whole bunch of other pediatrics who are just as miserable as I am.
So.
So her taking my. My therapist taking me up to the geriatric floor kind of saved me in a way that, you know, it kind of took me to my mind off of the anger and the pain that I was going through internally and kind of bring. Bring out a softer side of me by being able to interact with the elderly in ways that I was able to participate in a lot of activities like arts and traff, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and stuff like that.
So the six months I was getting my.
Going through rehab, just spending time with these. With the elderly was what got me through a pretty hard and dark time while I was recovering.
[00:07:51] Speaker B: So literally, I meet this man who's a homewell franchisee who's struggling, and I say, well, tell me your story. And that's the story he tells me. I'm like, I mean, this was not unlike any other day I'd ever had asking a franchisee, tell me your backstory.
His life in becoming a Homewell franchisee started when he was 12 years old. It started because some kind nurses saw an opportunity to help change his state by putting him with elderly people. And that started to shape and form the course of his life. So I want to fast forward. Not to take anything away from that amazing story, but I want to fast forward now. To you're an Uber driver and pick us up right there. So you're driving the Uber and what starts to happen as you get seniors in the back of your car?
[00:08:41] Speaker A: So, yeah, so in my story before, I was living in New York, and that was back in year 2000 when that happened. And this is back, this is fast forward to year 2021. This is after going through a divorce, and I'm trying to get my life back on track and starting fresh in a whole new state.
So I used Uber as a way to not only learn my surroundings in Nevada, but also earn money, of course.
And through that, I was pretty much driving from sunup till sundown. And through that, I was able to build my own transportation business through just providing excellent service through Uber, where I was able to attain my own clients.
And through that, I was making pretty good money. But I was starting to look for fulfillment at the time.
And ironically, I started to find fulfillment. Fulfillment in helping out my elderly passengers. You know, things like helping them getting, getting to their doctor's appointments, helping them with their groceries and so on and so forth. So I started seeing, these are signs from God. But then I met, like, a client through my business who introduced me to the idea of owning a home care business through a franchise called homewell. And then that's when I started really thinking. I was like, you know, things are starting to really click. I think this is where I need to be.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: I think you knew where you needed to be when you were 12 years old.
You might have not intellectually known, but I think all, all of the happenings in your life were leading you right to that Uber, to these seniors getting in your car, sharing your name. You need a ride? This is the guy to call. He starts building this, this business very organically and naturally from his heart.
And then he decides to invest some money in the franchise.
And so now catch us up to there. So you invest in the franchise. And when you met me a few weeks ago, how long had you been in the business and what had your results been thus far?
[00:10:47] Speaker A: I had been in the business for maybe 15 months, 14 to 15 months, until I met you.
And then up until that time, I've been struggling to get clients. Like, it's literally, I was, I've been stuck on maybe four clients for that whole 15 months that I've been in business just struggling to get clients. And then we had that conversation about, I would say, what, two weeks ago?
Yeah, we had that conversation about two weeks ago. And there was a lot of, there was a Lot of. I had a very, I must say, I had a very euphoric moment when I spoke to you for the first time. Because it was, it was like opening my eyes and awakening my third eye in a way. Like.
So, yeah, it was very, it was, it was powerful. And that kind of shifted my mindset a little bit. You were kind of teaching me some techniques and like shifting my mindset and kind of trusting in God and manifesting abundance as opposed to lack. And I really took that to heart. I started, you know, really putting in a lot of practices with meditation and manifesting abundance and no longer thinking about lack.
And maybe 48 hours after that call, I started, I got maybe three to four clients. Like in. Within one day.
Within. Yeah, like, yeah, within one day.
[00:12:15] Speaker B: 1500, 15 months, four clients, 48 hours. After a little mindset shift, we're going to call it a major mindset shift. And he gets three new clients in 48 hours. Nothing external to him ever had to change for him to have found those clients and all the others in that other 15 month period. And that's the story that I really want to tell today. Not that this story leading up to this moment isn't fascinating. I want to lean in a little bit as the coach. When I met David, the work that I teach in the Z suite is, I call it Einstein meets Jesus. You certainly don't have to be a Christian to understand the, the natural laws that govern the universe, like the law of gravity. You can be ignorant of the law of gravity, but every single time you step out on a ledge, you will fall down. Gravity is impartial to your belief. It works whether you believe in it or not. And there are other natural laws that govern the way that money flows in and out of a bank account, the way that clients are attracted to a business or not, the way that opportunities show up or don't.
When I stumbled upon these laws that were governing wealth and success, I was like, oh my gosh, why is nobody talking about these laws?
That's why everybody's unknowingly violating them. That's why we stand in frustration and we complain and we'll talk to anybody who will listen to us when things are hard and we start blaming the franchisor and the marketing and the territory and the world and all the things. Because we're human. That's what we thought was causing our result.
But that was my story too, until it wasn't. That was David's story too, until two weeks ago.
So back to David. So he's struggling in his mindset, efforting. But what I want you to understand. And, David, I don't know that I've even said this to you. When I think about you being in that Uber and you naturally and organically finding people of all the people you were driving around Vegas, right? You're naturally drawn to your ideal client. The people who speak to your heart, because that's the heart that saved you when you were 12 years old.
So that's going to be a natural place of comfort for you to give and to receive. And without really thinking about it, I'm guessing you just sort of naturally became known as the guy who could drive the seniors.
There was alignment in you to that ideal customer.
Alignment is one of the main things that most franchisees are missing.
They listen to the franchisor tell them, well, this is who our client is. But I'm like, when you come to the Z Suite, I'm like, no, who's your ideal client?
Who's the client that you want to talk to? The kind of people that you want to engage with and do business with.
When you learn to live intentionally, you get to decide who your ideal client is. So he. He decided and he chose a business based on his ideal client. A little backwards, but I love that it's the best way to do it.
So now he invests money where before it was just naturally coming to him. And I want to point this out again, I haven't said these things to David.
Money is one of the emotionally. The most emotionally charged conversations we all have. Now, money itself has no charge.
Money is just a tool. It's not positive or negative. It just is what makes money so emotionally charged for us human beings are the stories that we've been taught, the ones that were passed down from our parents. We can't afford that. Put that back. That doesn't happen for people like us. Stop dreaming of that. Teachers, the world. A job that had a salary that told you you work 40 hours a week and you're worth this much money? Well, you repeat that over and over and over. And that's how that belief gets stored inside of you.
We all have goofy money beliefs until we don't. Until we come to the Z Suite and I teach you what money actually is.
So I think what happened is he was naturally successful when money was not the goal.
Helping people was the goal.
He was serving from his heart. The people were naturally coming.
So then the opportunity to expand what he was doing grew. It inspired him because that's life. And happening inside of David. Life is for fuller expression of life. That's why any human desires, anything.
So David followed that, but now he had to put money into the equation.
And that's where it got tight.
And the reason I'm saying is not to point out David as. As if he's some unique case study. The near death experience does make you unique, but the other parts, David, sorry to say, just make you human. Okay, so this is what happens to everybody who invests money.
All of those negative head trash stories and beliefs that are deeply rooted inside of us about money bubble to the surface because now you're putting your life savings into this thing and you're 100% accountable to it.
And what once started as a passion and a vision to grow something that you could own and control and that would give you greater freedom.
All of your emotions about money start circulating around this thing and strangling the vision.
Not just you, David, everybody.
And I could be wrong, but this is my assessment because it was so easy in the Uber and then it seemingly got so hard in the business.
It's very common when we stop focusing on the service, which is what we want to do is give to other people and we start focusing on the money because the money went out of our bank account and now we want it to come back in. I'm not making you wrong. We all do it. It's a human thing.
So when David and I connected and I listened to his story, I went right to the Christian side of this, knowing this man's heart and what he's lived through.
So he grasped the ideas that I taught very, very quickly because his heart was already in alignment with the spiritual laws that govern wealth and success.
But if you're out there and you're listening and you're not a Christian, it's okay.
Einstein used mathematical equations to say the exact same things that Jesus said using parables. So if you don't like parables, we can talk quantum physics all day long because it works just the same.
So I shared some of these rich ideas with this man, and he was so ready to hear them that it immediately moved him.
And now from a new level of awareness, he started taking action and producing an immediate result. And in 48 hours, I kid you not, I got the text, I was like, I have no idea what's going to happen when I give people, like the ideas. It's what they do with the idea that turns into the result. He took the ideas and he ran with it and basically doubled his business in 48 hours from. From some free advice From a woman he just met and had a one hour call with.
So David, I want to bring it back to you. So you have this rapid response, you're flying high, you're texting me. It's good. Life gets good very quickly, right when you start standing in your power and feeling and, and owning that you did that and it wasn't coincidence.
But then what happened in the days that followed after that? What happened to your mindset?
[00:20:21] Speaker A: It started to drift again, you know, naturally, because of course, you know, those, those doubts start to creep in again and you know, it's, you always want more, more, more, you know, so I reached out to you again, I told you, I expressed my, my, my frustrations yet again with, you know, my, with, with the lack of money. And yeah, I think you, you, you steered me back on the path of, you know, trusting him, trusting in God and also manifesting keeping that, that positive mindset and manifesting abundance over lack.
And I'm still, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's still going to take some time but you know, it's, it's something I'm constantly working on. And I think that's what it's all about. It's a muscle that you constantly have to work until you figure it out
[00:21:17] Speaker B: a hundred percent it is. You have a pattern of thinking and being that you define as David.
And this is judgment free, most of that. As humans, we create patterns of what we don't want because we're constantly focused on what we don't want, what's not going right, how we thought it was going to go.
But by the natural laws that govern how results come, those dominant thoughts create more experiences coming to us to continue to have those dominant thoughts. Because that's the law of attraction right there working perfectly. So we're getting exactly what we want.
But the universe isn't hearing what we want out of our words. It's hearing what we want based on the feeling that we're giving off about what we're doing.
So the more we stand in lack and frustration and doubt, the more we keep our good away from us.
But how do you feel good and how do you believe in possibility when your current circumstances are telling you quite the opposite? That's what he's saying. He texted me on a Friday night. I remember I was watching a movie and I was like, oh, David's texting me. Stop the movie. Let's talk to David.
I want to help you. I want to help everybody. Because there's no reason to Struggle in your business, struggling is because you're using your logical, limited human mind.
You're like what?
Instead of a deeper level of mind in you that knows the way to every single thing that you want.
And when you get out of your head and you get into this alignment, which is what I originally gave him when he spoke to me for the first hour, I got him into alignment and he was able to hold my alignment into his alignment and generate results. But then over time of course you fade back to those old patterns, those old ways of thinking and being because they're so ingrained and they don't give up easily.
And that's why when you come to the Z suite, it's a year long commitment because you're going to learn like David learned in one hour. You're going to learn the basics pretty quickly and it's going to change your life pretty quickly. Look at the data coming out of the Z Suite. 30, 60, 90 days. Absolutely epic transformations of people's businesses. But in order to make it sustainable, you have to keep doing the work. This is where it becomes a daily discipline.
It is a daily focus to the new idea, to the new understanding of what's creating your result.
And the more consistent you are in building that muscle, that was the best word, faith is a muscle.
The more you are consistent in developing that, the, the sooner the fa, I guess the faster your results will come and the faster you will be to correct yourself when you start to get off track.
And that's what starts to happen. It happened in my life back in from 2010 to 2011. I stumbled on these rich ideas without knowing that there were laws just intuitively being led to them.
Finding that good feeling place inside of me that made me want to do business this way because it just felt more fun.
And then showing up to have fun every day and to serve people every day instead of looking for the money.
And the money came, more money than I had ever made. A 350% increase in my revenue in 12 month period.
But the money came after the internal shift.
So David has had a taste of that internal shift that I give everybody in the Z suite.
And now he's learning to hold this new version of him and his beliefs and his identity in what he wants more than what he doesn't want in the forefront of his mind. And nobody's here to judge to the extent that you do it. You will build the business and life of your dreams.
But there will be days where you just can't do it right David?
[00:25:52] Speaker A: Absolutely.
Absolutely.
[00:25:56] Speaker B: So you've come so far in such a short amount of time. When you think about your future now in homewell.
I know right now the bank account isn't yet reflecting. You just haven't been at it long enough. But with the thoughts that you have now and the knowledge you have, even though it's not even complete because we haven't gotten really deep into the Z suite material, how do you feel about your future as a business owner as compared to before you met Kim Daly?
[00:26:26] Speaker A: I feel definitely a lot more hopeful. You know, I'm visualizing my success. Success now a lot more, being more specific about what I'm going to be driving, where I'm going to be, you know, maybe in a few years from now.
And I'm just. Yeah, I'm maintaining a.
A more positive mindset. Like just the other. Like just yesterday, I didn't. I didn't even tell you this, Kim, but my car wouldn't start. I couldn't get it going. Battery's dead.
So I don't even have the money to get it fixed. You know, I'm calling my parents in a panic. I called my dad because my dad's been a mechanic for maybe six, like, 30 years. A little over 30 years. And then he's like, what's going on, Dave? What's wrong? I was like, it was my alternator. I thought it was just a battery, but I found out it was an alternator, which was going to cost me a pretty penny to get it fixed. And I called my dad, and I really need my car to get around. And he's like, what's going on?
[00:27:26] Speaker B: I'm glad I'm not the only one who calls their dad. As an adult, when anything goes wrong, we call our dads.
[00:27:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
You need help paying.
[00:27:35] Speaker B: I hope that age card never expires on being able to call your dad.
[00:27:39] Speaker A: Right.
So I was just thankful that I can call my dad, and I was just even more grateful that he was. He was offered to pay to help the repairs, but before he was offering to pay for repairs, I. I didn't really panic much. You know, my. Even my fiance, she says, you know, I'm really proud of you. You're. You're.
You're. Even though your car don't start and you broke down, you got to get a fix. You're still maintaining a pot of positive mindset. And I think that alone was just, I guess, life changing. Yes. Of my, My growth and, you know, internally. So that was good because imagine the
[00:28:21] Speaker B: years that we take off of Our lives stressing over things that ultimately we have no control over. I mean, if your car is broken, your car is broken. But we as humans, what do we do? We go through the gyrations in our mind, right? And all the stress that that causes in our body.
But when you realize there are things out of your control and you just start to respond instead of react, I mean, you're going to gain 10, 20 years on your life over if you keep playing like that.
And then in the end, it ended up working out okay.
[00:28:52] Speaker A: Yes, it did.
[00:28:55] Speaker B: Just like everything will. Same with your business, same with your bank account. I know that three more clients can come to you today. Do you believe it?
[00:29:03] Speaker A: I do, yes. I actually just got one.
Maybe this morning, right before we got on this podcast. I just got somebody who came in as a. As an inquiry requesting for services. So I gotta. I actually have to reach out to them once we get up, once we get off this podcast and stuff and get that going.
[00:29:23] Speaker B: Amazing. Amazing. It's a daily discipline. It's a daily focus.
And my name is Kim Daly.
David Lemaire. I am so happy to meet you. I am not letting you out of my sight, out of my text box for too long. I want only magical things for you. I think you're here for a reason.
Clearly, you have an amazing life story. You have an amazing mission to help so many seniors that in a way that only you, with your connection to that age group can do. And that's the story. That's your ideal client, and that's the story that you bring to them. That's the heart that you meet them with.
When you serve people at that level of integrity, at that level of genuine desire to serve, nobody is saying no to David Lemaire.
Mark my words.
You're standing in your power now. You know enough to go be dangerous and go get three more new clients before this week is over to put the money in your bank account and watch that money grow.
I won't be far from you, so don't worry about it. But for those who may be listening, who are like, I want to be like, David, how do I get Kim Daly to help me? Well, that's the point of making shows like this. I want you to. To understand business ownership gets hard. It gets real for everybody. It doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. It doesn't mean you invested in the wrong franchise. It doesn't mean you have crappy marketing. Well, you might. It doesn't mean you have the wrong territory.
It means there's a missing link between your franchise and your wealth.
And in the Z Suite, we focus entirely on on that missing link. And what is the missing link? David?
[00:31:14] Speaker A: Mindset.
[00:31:15] Speaker B: Your mindset.
How you think, how you talk and how you think and how you talk sets up a belief that then determines how you take action or don't take action. And like I started the show, anybody can think and talk and take action when life is good and money's in the bank.
But that's not reality. When you own a business, and especially when you're starting a business, there are going to come moments when you can't think and talk positively because every circumstance around you is telling you to think and talk differently.
But it's what you do in those moments that determines whether you stay in those moments or you get to go on and become successful.
So if this story intrigues you for more than that near death experience that I've never shared on Kim Daily tv, thank you. David, Then I want you to follow the link in the description below because I really want to help you understand the difference between success, the difference between successful you and failing you. The difference between the you that invests their life savings and goes on and builds financial freedom and the you that stands and struggles.
Same you, different possibilities.
Follow the link in the description below right now because I can't wait to be your daily mindset coach.
